I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the Los Angeles area, providing therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults. I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions. My home roots are in Southern California but I moved across the country to obtain my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Kentucky, magna cum laude. I returned to California to attend California Polytechnic University, Pomona for my Master of Science in Psychology. After finishing my educational training, I have had the opportunity to practice as a therapist in schools, treatment centers, and private practice.

Interventions

With certification through the Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS), I provide evidence-based social skills treatment. This approach, first developed at UCLA, is now broadly renowned for addressing socio-emotional problems among individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention-deficit/ hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), anxiety, and depression. This style of intervention trains therapists to better communicate with clients and provides a structure for clients to develop and practice communicational and coping skills beyond a clinical setting.

I use a client-centered therapy approach because I want my clients to feel validated in their unique hardships and to help clients identify goals specific to their circumstances. In addition to supporting clients individually, I can help clients navigate difficulties in their relationships with family members, significant others, and friends. While my primary therapeutic approaches involve cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing, my highest goal is always to the individual. I have found that creating a safe and supportive environment in which clients get to be themselves fosters a meaningful client-therapist relationship and lays the foundation of successful treatment.
